(Spectronics Corp.: Westbury, NY) -- Spectronics Corp. has introduced the TRITAN 450 blue light (450 nm) LED lamp, a safe and effective alternative to UV-A black light (365 nm) for quick NDT pre-inspection or screening of fluorescent particles.

This powerful, hand-held unit is designed with three cool-running, ultra-high-flux, blue light LEDs and an electronic intensity stabilizer, which ensures consistent, premium performance. The broad-beam structure allows a wider coverage area than conventional inspection lamps. It produces a nominal steady-state 450 nm intensity of 5,000 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm) with a 50,000-hour LED service life. 

The “instant-on” TRITAN 450 is extremely compact and lightweight, weighing just 1 lb (454 g). Its rugged, ergonomic body provides fatigue-free inspections. A built-in fan keeps the LEDs cool, providing optimum light output during lengthy use. The TRITAN 450 power cord with AC plug is available in 8 feet (2.4 m) or 24 feet (6.1 m) and in 120V, 230V, 240V, and 100V models.
