(Dorsey Metrology: Poughkeepsie, New York) -- Dorsey Metrology, manufacturers of gauges and optical comparators, has announced that the new model 14HE Optical Comparator and  a variety of digital readouts will be at IMTS, Sept. 13–18 in booth E-5350. This new 14-in. optical comparator has the same high quality features as the current product line, but in a smaller package and at a lower price. The addition of LED surface illumination is another Dorsey innovation.

The 14HE has a 14 in. (350 mm) diameter screen and 8 in. × 4 in. X and Y travel. The nickel-plated cast iron work stage has coarse and fine adjustment control together with a massive 50 lb working capacity. As always, cross roller bearings are on all three axes. Dorsey is known for its unique internal edge detection, which is optional on this model. A variety of digital readouts from different manufacturers are available to run with this product.
