(Micro-Vu Corp.: Windsor, CA) -- Micro-Vu Corp. has introduced its new Sol Vision System, a measurement system that bridges the gap between manual video machines and automated multisensor CMMs. The Sol is primarily used for dimensional measurement and inspection of medical devices, precision-machined parts, precision plastics, electronics, liquid crystal display, and solar applications.

The Sol Vision System implements new technologies to increase speed and accuracy on a reliable and affordable measuring machine. It’s manually operated 160 mm × 160 mm × 160 mm stage with a motorized zoom lens is combined with the proprietary edge detection technology of InSpec Metrology Software. The Sol features a programmable 19.5x zoom, programmable multisegment lighting, 6.5x optical magnification, 3x digital magnification, nonlinear calibration of the stage, nonlinear calibration of the optics, lights calibration, and part programming compatibility.
