(Delcam plc: Birmingham, UK) -- Delcam.TV now has a special section devoted to the 2010 version of FeatureCam, their software for feature-based machining. This includes videos highlighting all the important new features in the latest release, including demonstrations of the much faster calculation times and the novel combination drill/mill functionality. The latest customer testimonials can also be viewed. The new area can be seen at www.delcam.tv/featurecam2010.

The main development in the 2010 version to make FeatureCAM even quicker is support for multithreading when generating 3-D toolpaths. This allows calculations to be spread across multiple cores in dual- or quad-core computers. Average time savings are around 25 percent on a dual-core PC.
