(Raytek: Santa Cruz, CA) -- Raytek, a designer, manufacturer, and provider of infrared (IR), thermometry instruments, has enhanced its MI3 Series IR temperature measurement sensors with new integrated network communication options. The Raytek MI3 sensors are now compatible with the Modbus and Profibus network protocols, allowing them to be used in a wide range of applications requiring digital communication for field devices. The updated thermometers offer a low-cost, multichannel noncontact temperature measurement solution with network communications capability.

The Raytek MI3 Series represents a new generation of performance and innovation in noncontact temperature monitoring for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications and manufacturing processes. These high-performance IR sensors reduce energy costs by allowing tighter process control and more efficient process heating. Improved control performance produces higher product quality, less product variation, and increased throughput.
