(Kistler Instrument Corp: Amherst, NY) -- Kistler, a global supplier of precision sensors, systems, and instrumentation for the dynamic measurement of pressure, force, torque, and acceleration, has introduced its Type 8763B triaxial accelerometer into North America. The Type 8763B is a miniature integrated electronics piezo electric (IEPE) with voltage output. It offers simultaneous shock and vibration measurements on three mutually perpendicular axes with optional transducer electronic data sheet (TEDS) capabilities per the IEEE 1451.4 standard for smart transducers. The accelerometer meets the high-performance requirements of larger-channel-count automotive, aerospace, and general laboratory testing applications.
