(Konica Minolta Sensing: Ramsey, NJ) -- Konica Minolta Sensing Americas Inc. (KMSA), a global leader in the industrial measurement of color, light, and shape, announces it is discontinuing manufacturing the VIVID 910 and VIVID 9i 3-D laser scanners as of March 31, 2012. After March 2012, fulfillment of orders will be based on available supply and will be filled while supplies last.

The VIVID 3-D scanners have been on the market for more than 10 years. The VIVID series has been replaced by the newer RANGE series, according to the company.

Konica Minolta will continue to support and service the VIVID 910 and VIVID 9i models for an additional seven years after the discontinuation.

Effective dates:
End of manufacturing: March 31, 2012
End of purchase availability: while supplies last
End of support and service: March 31, 2019
