Featured technologies include new machine-tool probing systems, calibration solutions, shop-floor gauging, intelligent process-development software, and metal-additive manufacturing systems. They all provide attendees with practical solutions for improving quality, optimizing processes, and enabling smarter manufacturing.
Renishaw Central delivers the factory of the future, today
A manufacturing connectivity and data platform, Renishaw Central aims to transform the productivity, capability, and efficiency of manufacturing operations. The data-driven manufacturing solution brings the power of connectivity to the machine shop floor, resulting in highly efficient, productive operations with optimized processes, reduced downtime, and minimized waste. At IMTS, Renishaw will demonstrate how the platform delivers the factory of the future.
RUP60 and RMP400S machine-tool probing solutions
Renishaw will present the RUP60, an advanced ultrasonic thickness measurement probe for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machine tools. The new probe simplifies the measurement of large parts where access is limited to a single side, avoiding the need to move parts to specialist measurement equipment or perform manual inspection on the machine. The RUP60 allows for an entirely automated inspection and verification process, which reduces operator involvement and provides quick, traceable results without the need for specialized training.
Combining touch-trigger measurement, scanning, and surface finish verification in one device, the RMP400S is Renishaw’s most versatile probing solution to date. It uses Renishaw’s patented strain gauge technology to achieve a repeatability of 0.25 μm (2σ) and surface finish Ra of 0.5 μm. The RMP400S enhances on-machine measurement capabilities by delivering high-density scanning data for both form and surface finish verification. Its advanced functionality supports improved in-process control directly on the machine, helping engineers streamline inspection workflows.
XM-60 multi-axis calibrator
The XM-60 multi-axis calibrator simplifies machine tool calibration by measuring all six degrees of freedom from a single setup. The system quickly captures linear positioning, straightness, pitch, yaw, and roll errors, allowing manufacturers to improve machine accuracy, reduce downtime, and increase production quality. When combined with Renishaw’s CARTO software, the XM-60 provides powerful analysis and compensation tools for machine performance optimization.
Equator-X gauging system
The Equator-X dual-method gauging system combines high-speed comparative gauging with traceable absolute measurement in a single shop-floor platform. Manufacturers can switch between inspection methods to match changing production requirements while maintaining high throughput and exceptional measurement confidence. Designed for operation directly on the shop floor, the Equator-X gauge delivers fast inspection, process control, and immediate manufacturing feedback to improve quality and productivity.
Industrial robot calibration and maintenance solutions
Renishaw will help advance industrial automation with live demonstrations of cell recovery and in-field robot calibration, alongside a range of innovative products designed to improve productivity and process control. The interactive RCS demo cell showcases how Renishaw’s solutions simplify robot setup, calibration, and recovery, which helps manufacturers achieve greater accuracy and efficiency, and increases production uptime.
RenAM 500 series metal additive manufacturing systems
The RenAM 500 series is Renishaw’s family of laser powder-bed fusion systems designed for industrial metal-additive manufacturing. Built for high productivity, repeatability, and process control, the systems enable manufacturers to produce complex, high-value components with consistent quality. Advanced process monitoring, automated powder handling, and flexible system configurations make the RenAM 500 series ideal for aerospace, medical, energy, and precision manufacturing applications.
Encoders for position and motion control
Renishaw will further highlight its portfolio of position and motion control encoders, which play a critical role in robotic performance. These encoders provide precise feedback for robotic joints, enabling accurate positioning, smooth motion control, and repeatable performance in a wide range of applications.
Manufacturers attending IMTS 2026 are invited to visit the Renishaw booths (quality assurance booths 134314 and 134524; additive manufacturing Booth 338469; student summit Booth 211402) to see these technologies in action and speak with the company’s manufacturing and metrology experts about solutions for improving precision, productivity, and process control. The exhibit will feature live demonstrations and application expertise for machine tool probing, calibration, gauging, and additive manufacturing.
