Juran Announces New Online Black Belt Workshop

Earn CEUs and certification

Published: Monday, August 7, 2017 - 12:00

(Juran: Southington, CT) -- Juran is now accepting applications to participate in a new wave of lean Six Sigma Black Belt training. This training utilizes Juran’s self-paced online platform, and includes 10 online group instruction sessions.

This workshop, now enrolling for Sept. 8, 2017, is offered with the choice to add certification, which includes individual project coaching. Juran is authorized by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this program under the ANSI/IACET 1-2013 Standard.

Students will learn lean techniques and principles, as well as the define, measure, analyze, improve, control (DMAIC) methodology developed by W. Edwards Deming during the 1950s, that, when properly applied, can dramatically improve an organization’s overall efficiency and effectiveness. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt candidates will participate in an online interactive training program with live webinar sessions. Juran’s blend of online learning and live webinar training contains self-paced instructional modules, as well as reading assignments designed to reinforce what has been learned in the module.

Michael Stamp, a Juran vice president, will be instructing the workshop. Stamp specializes in continuous process improvement, lean management, and delivering a variety of quality programs to corporate clients. He has more than 25 years of experience and is an outstanding change agent who can identify opportunities, develop focus, and provide strategic and tactical business solutions. Stamp’s competencies include process improvement, operational streamlining, data science, special project management, training and coaching, cost reduction, multi-site operations, quality control/assurance, policy and procedure development, leadership development and culture transformation, and statistics.
