Software Provider Receives Award

Published: Tuesday, March 27, 2007 - 22:00

(Pilgrim Software, Tampa, Florida) -- Pilgrim Software, a provider of enterprise compliance and quality management software solutions, has been named 2007 North American Enterprise Compliance & Quality Management (ECQM) Company of the Year within the life sciences industry by Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting firm.

Pilgrim was cited for its excellence in the medical device arena, where it leads all other ECQM providers in achieving world-class performance. Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practice Award recognizes companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

Frost & Sullivan named Pilgrim as the leader in all of these categories following comparisons with other market participants through in-depth industry client and customer interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research conducted to identify best practices among software providers for the medical device industry.

“Pilgrim Software has differentiated itself by being one of the very few companies to operate with a single-minded focus on the quality and compliance management space, and to have consistently shown tremendous growth over the years, especially within the medical devices and life science space,” says Sanjeev Sridharan, Frost & Sullivan research analyst. “This company has the exceptional know-how to take advantage of market changes through the execution of innovative strategies within the existing competitive landscape, and its industry-specific solutions are backed up by people with strong domain expertise.”

“Pilgrim has taken a proactive approach to quality management and compliance initiatives by helping our customers translate their impeccable compliance initiatives into positive increases in bottom-line strategic advantage,” says Ami Utji, Pilgrim Software CEO. “While most life sciences companies have taken a siloed approach to quality by procuring solutions at the department level, Pilgrim believes it’s imperative that these companies look at quality as an integral part of their global best practices.”

Frost & Sullivan noted that Pilgrim Software currently is the preferred vendor for end users who have a global deployment vision and can readily use Pilgrim’s built-in best practices approach. Life sciences companies are increasingly looking at quick deployment of solutions to gain crucial competitive advantage.

“Our customers appreciate SmartSolve’s scalable architecture that enables them to choose components based on their immediate requirements, and the software’s flexibility that allows them to mix and match those components to satisfy their specific needs,” Utji says.

In selecting Pilgrim as the 2007 North American Enterprise Compliance & Quality Management Company of the Year, Frost & Sullivan analysts quantified several market factors for all companies being considered for the award, according to predetermined criteria, playing close attention to their combined operations efforts. Criteria included market growth potential, ability to deliver value-enhancing solutions to customers, improvement in customer satisfaction level, and ability to offer a “one-stop-shop” in response to customer demands.
