Precision Wire Components LLC, a medical-component manufacturer, recently received registration to ISO 13485:2003. PWC manufactures guide wires for major medical-device makers, and has been registered to quality standards in the ISO 9000 series since 1997, one year after the company was founded. When the more stringent, medical-device-specific ISO 13485 standard appeared, the company started the auditing process, reports Charles D. Trover, PWC CEO.
