CooperVision Deploys Agile Early

Published: Monday, February 5, 2007 - 23:00

Agile Software Corp., a provider of product lifecycle management solutions, recently reported that CooperVision, a fast-growing manufacturer of contact lenses, has installed Agile Product Quality Management as its global quality solution earlier than expected.

“It was the easiest and most flexible solution we evaluated,” says Bryan Horrocks, CooperVision global quality systems manager. “We looked at other solutions that could handle specific quality events, but they couldn’t complete the closed-loop CAPA management requirements like Agile.”

CooperVision is the third-largest contact lens maker, with facilities on five continents. The company once used paper control systems and local electronic systems to monitor product quality, none of which enabled a global repository of product information or enterprisewide visibility.

“The Agile solution has not only addressed our immediate quality and compliance needs, it has provided us with a roadmap for the future,” says Christine Moench, vice president of regulatory affairs and quality assurance at Coopervision.
