Brooks Software Forms Life Sciences Team

Published: Wednesday, November 16, 2005 - 22:00

Brooks Software recently formed a new engineering, services, marketing and sales team specifically focused on the life sciences and medical-device manufacturing industries. The team, led by Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Joseph Vinhais, will provide strategic direction and leadership to drive Brooks’ product strategy and to-market programs for life sciences manufacturers. Vinhais, who holds Regulatory Affairs certification, has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

“The life sciences market represents a significant growth opportunity for Brooks Software,” says Joe Bellini, Brooks Software COO. “Our growing suite of real-time applications addresses the critical challenges device manufacturers are facing today: lowering the cost of regulatory compliance, improving quality and automating manufacturing operations for complete product traceability.”

The new team consists of life science manufacturing and quality experts, solutions architecture, deployment and validation specialists, and sales and marketing representatives. Together, they have more than 50 years of experience at major software companies, having already deployed successful manufacturing life science solutions at market-leading companies such as Becton Dickenson, Pfizer, and Bristol Myers Squibb.

Brooks Software is a provider of real-time applications for collaborative, complex manufacturing environments. It’s a division of Brooks Automation Inc.
