(Sokkia Corp.: Olathe, Kansas) -- Sokkia is pleased to introduce the release of the Automated 3D Station NET05 offering the industry’s highest accuracy for industrial, construction and deformation monitoring applications.

SOKKIA has been providing NET-series high precision 3D Stations for use in the measurement of ship blocks, bridge blocks, vehicles, large scale building construction as well as high accuracy deformation monitoring of tunnels, dams, buildings and landslides since 1990.

New NET05 provides the industry’s highest 0.5” (0.15 mgon) angle measurement accuracy using a combination of SOKKIA’s unique IACS (Independent Angle Calibration System) technology and absolute encoders enhanced with market proven RAB code (RAndom Bidirectional code) technology.

NET05 measures prisms with the industry’s highest accuracy of (0.8 mm + 1 ppm) with a range of 3,500 m (11,480 ft.) and achieves sub-millimeter (0.5 mm + 1 ppm) accuracy up to 200 m (650 ft.) using reflective sheets. Reflectorless measurement can be performed with (1 mm + 1 ppm) accuracy up to 40 m (130 ft.). Measurement speed has been dramatically reduced to 2.4 seconds or less in fine measurement mode.
