(INUS Technology: Seoul) -- INUS Technology Inc. has launched InvisHands, a new tool that automates the process of creating complete CAD models from 3-D scan data. InvisHands offers a new option to anyone in need of accurate reverse engineered models of physical parts. The service allows users of 3-D scanning technology to focus on data capture, and offload the post-processing work to InvisHands. Anyone can get an instant quote and delivery time information for the conversion of a 3-D scanned object to a CAD model via the InvisHands application available at www.invishands.com.

INUS Technology, the maker of Rapidform 3-D scanning software, has been addressing the needs of 3-D scanner users for years with applications that allow them to process scan data themselves. InvisHands is a new option for those who want to have a push-button reverse engineering solution.

There are four simple steps to get any 3-D scan converted to a CAD model with InvisHands:

1. Download and install the InvisHands application
2. Open a 3-D scan file and select your output preferences to see instant pricing
and delivery options
3. Click “Start Project.” The data will be securely uploaded to the InvisHands server,
converted to a CAD model by InvisHands engineers, and returned to within
the guaranteed delivery time
4. Once you receive the e-mail that the CAD model is ready, review it in the InvisHands app, and if satisfied, click “Complete Order” to download the file and complete payment

Using InvisHands is completely risk-free. No payment is required until the recipient is satisfied with the resulting CAD model. Input files can be polygon meshes from any 3-D scanner that have been aligned and merged into a single file. Data are processed using Rapidform, and output options include:

• Native part files for SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Siemens NX, CATIA, or AutoCAD
• Parasolid, IGS, or STP format
• Optimized polygon mesh files suitable for 3-D printing or engineering simulation/analysis

The beta release of InvisHands is now available for download at www.invishands.com and through Global InvisHands Alliance members, including Toyota Caelum, Marubeni Information Systems, Otsuka, DICO, UEL and K’S Design Lab in Japan. For more information on the Global InvisHands Alliance program, contactinfo@invishands.com or visit www.invishands.com.
