(Delcam: Birmingham, UK) -- Delcam has launched a new website for its PowerINSPECT CAD-based inspection software. The site details the many benefits that have made PowerINSPECT a leading hardware-independent inspection software.

One of the most important factors has been the software’s flexibility, which allows it to be used on a variety of inspection equipment. Although PowerINSPECT is best known as a system for portable inspection arms, it can also be used with manual and CNC coordinate measuring machines, many optical metrology devices, and machine tools fitted with inspection probes.

This versatility means that PowerINSPECT can be used on all of a company’s different measuring devices, allowing inspection sequences to be transferred between different inspection pieces of equipment and the results from the various sources to be compared quickly and easily. It also minimizes training costs and makes it easier to transfer staff between different measurement techniques.
