(Mountain Home: Denver, CO) -- Mountain Home Training and Consulting Inc., a provider of continuous process improvement (CPI) training and certification, has shaken up their own industry during the last six months with some innovative approaches to the way they do business. It started with a decision to offer their on-demand lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSS Fundamentals) course for free.

The first response from most people to this unique offer was “How can they do this?” After all, this is the same course that Mountain Home previously charged for, not a watered down demo version. Why would a company give away one of their most popular products? To Derril Watts, CEO of Mountain Home, the answer is simple.

“The reason we made this offer is we felt that providing this type of training is a way for us to do our part in today’s uncertain economy," says Watts. "So many businesses are trying to survive this recession without the knowledge they need. We wanted to help by doing what we do best—transfer knowledge. Rarely do you get an opportunity to do something significant to help your customers and grow your business.”
