TÜV America recently added EAC 37 auditing services for clients in the education industry already undergoing ISO 9001 registration.TÜV was accredited by the ANSI-RAB NAP (now known as ANAB) to evaluate compliance to EAC 37 on Dec. 7, 2004, and will now apply its Insight Auditing services to the specialized field of education. The company notes that an increasing number of public sector organizations—including schools—are seeking registration to quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
“We have observed a growing trend within the public sector to gain ISO 9001 certification,” says Calin Moldovean, TÜV America management services director. “This proven quality management system model can help organizations of all types become more efficient and cost effective. Elementary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and even online schools can all benefit from achieving ISO 9001 certification.”
