NIST and ANSI to Host Forum on U.S. Standards Strategy

Published: Tuesday, March 8, 2005 - 23:00

The National Institute of Standards and Technology and the American National Standards Institute will co-sponsor a public forum on U.S. standards next month. The event is designed to engage stakeholders in a dialogue about the United States Standards Strategy document and invite public comment. It will be held on April 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

The USSS is a revision of the National Standards Strategy for the United States (NSS), which was published in 2000. ANSI convened a committee to review and revise the NSS, and more than 100 representatives of industry, standards developers, consumer groups and the government have participated in the review process.

There is no charge for the April 15 workshop, but pre-registration is required. For more information, visit www.ansi.org.
