(Perceptron: Plymouth, MI) -- Perceptron Inc. has announced that its customer, ROTHENBERGER USA, a manufacturer and marketer of pipe tool technology headquartered in Rockford, Illinois, launched its new ROSCOPE 500 handheld video-inspection device into the U.S. market.

The ROSCOPE 500 is the newest product in Rothenberger’s line of professional-grade inspection cameras and can effortlessly navigate through a standard 1½-in. p-trap, one of the toughest challenges for optical plumbing devices.

The ROSCOPE 500 provides end users with a wide range of features ,such as virtually unlimited picture capture capability, image rotation, and a 4-ft long, 14 mm diameter imager. With its small, 14 mm-diameter imager, unique contour design, and obedient cable, the ROSCOPE 500 provides effortless navigation through the majority of plumbing situations.

“Our customers asked us to develop a product that they could use to easily maneuver through p-traps,” says Chera Ellis, vice president and general manager of Rothenberger USA. “I believe the ROSCOPE 500 will not only meet their needs but exceed their expectations.”

“We are pleased to support Rothenberger with the launch of the new ROSCOPE 500, adding to the diverse mix of products they already offer in the U.S. market,” says Richard Price, senior vice president of Perceptron’s commercial products business unit.

“I am very pleased to see that Rothenberger USA will be using our technology in the ROSCOPE 500,” adds Harry T. Rittenour, Perceptron president and CEO. “We are excited to see how their customers react to this extraordinary product.”
