The survey reveals that a significant majority of companies are prioritizing a return to in-person work, with many organizations emphasizing the benefits of collaboration, productivity, and company culture that come with physical office presence. According to the survey, 64% of companies already require employees to be in the office at least part-time, and this trend is expected to continue, with 23% planning to bring employees back to the office by 2025.
“In recent years companies have been attempting to bring employees back to the office, often citing improved productivity (though not definitively proven), increased revenue, and a more cohesive company culture as reasons,” says chief career advisor Stacie Haller. “However, the optimal in-office model remains in flux.”
