Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze to Exhibit at MRO Americas

Attending Aviation Week’s show in Dallas, April 26–28, 2022

Published: Monday, March 28, 2022 - 11:59

(Wall Colmonoy Headquarters: Madison Heights, Michigan) -- Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze will be exhibiting at Booth 2703 at Aviation Week MRO Americas, April 26 through 28, 2022, in Dallas.

Aerobraze will be promoting its OEM and aftermarket products and services for the aerospace and aviation industry. Aerobraze specializes in manufacturing and repairing aerospace components, such as heat exchangers and oil coolers for commercial and military aircraft; Nicrocraft aircraft exhaust systems for general aviation, rotorcraft, and piston engines; and turbine vanes, nozzles, blades, honeycomb brazing, and engine compressor diffusers to make engines and parts last longer in service. Components are produced through the processes of vacuum brazing, heat treatment, welding, thermal spraying, and machining.

Franklin Bronze Precision Components, a subsidiary of Wall Colmonoy, will be joining the exhibit to promote its investment casting capabilities.

Aerobraze quality standards comprise: AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001:2015, EASA.145.6085, AWS D17.1/D17.1M:2017 (welding), Nadcap approvals in brazing, heat treat, welding, NDT, chemical processing, FAA-Repair Station approval, and both an FAA-DER and FAA-DMIR on staff.

Wall Colmonoy’s long-standing history within the aerospace industry can be traced to 1937. Through its alloy products division, Wall Colmonoy develops and manufactures Nicrobraz, a leading nickel-based brazing filler metal used for honeycomb and blade applications, and supplied as powder, paste, tape, or rod. Colmonoy surfacing products are used to coat metal parts to make them last longer and are provided for methods of HVOF, PTA, spray and fuse, and laser cladding. All products adhere to ISO 9001 standards.

In addition to developing Nicrobraz, Wall Colmonoy pioneered the first heat-exchanger overhaul procedure and developed a high-temperature furnace brazing widely used in OEM and aftermarket components. Wall Colmonoy’s brazing and manufacturing expertise has produced efficiencies and significant cost savings in maintaining and extending the life of aircraft and engine parts.
