CeTaQ Americas recently started offering machine-capability analysis testing for lasers used in medical and biomedical device manufacturing. The test methodology measures the width of laser cuts as well as beam size and consistency, comparing the actual result with the programmed patter and process settings. It’s applicable to lasers used in the processes of cutting, welding stencil cutting, laser marking and drilling. All types of lasers, including UV, (excimer and DPSS) can be evaluated.
In laser processing, the laser head is typically stationary and the product is moved under the beam via high-precision air-bearing stages. CeTaQ’S method verifies the X-Y accuracy of these stages and the motion-control system, which is critical to such processing. It also uses a transparent heat-sensitive film in with CeTaQ’s highly accurate glass-plate measurement system.
CeTaQ Americas provides quality analysis and optimization of production processes. It supplies machine capability analysis according to ISO 9001 standard. For more information, visit www.cetaq.com.
