(Coordinate Metrology Society: San Diego) -- The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) recently announced the Library of Congress has issued ISSN numbers for the print and online versions of The Journal of the CMSC. ISSN 2328-6067 has been assigned to the print version of The Journal of the CMSC, and ISSN 2328-6075 is the identification number for the online version. The unique numbers will be prominently displayed on all future issues.

Built on the frame of the API’s Radian tracker, the Omnitrac 2 offers an auto-lock camera and an onboard level sensor and can recapture a lost beam. It operates using absolute distance measurement technology; the Radian augments that with an interferometer.

The first examinations will be held at the 29th annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC), July 22–26, 2013, in San Diego.

(SICK: Minneapolis) -- SICK, manufacturer of sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and automatic identification products, has launched the WTB4 MultiLine Photoelectric sensor. The WTB4 uses specially designed optics to create two line-shaped light spots to continuously detect objects with large gaps, such as PCBs or product that is shiny or dark from leading to trailing edge.

3DExpress software was presented November 2012 at the VISION show with the slogan, “3D Machine Vision Made Easy,” due to its graphical assistance allowing the configuration and debugging of 3D laser acquisition systems without the need of programming skills.
