CNC Honing System Features Integrated Air Gauging

(Sunnen Products Co.: St. Louis) -- Sunnen’s SV-1005 series vertical computer numerical controlled (CNC) honing system with integrated air gauging system provides closed-loop control of tool size, along with downloadable statistical process control (SPC) data. Matched with Sunnen’s super abrasive MMT tool, the air-gauge-equipped machine can automatically control hole size to accuracies of 0.25 µm (0.00001 in.) without operator intervention, working in a bore size range of 3 mm–65 mm (0.120 in.–2.56 in.) diameter.
