(Pilgrim: Tampa, FL) -- Pilgrim Software Inc., a developer and provider of enterprise risk, compliance, and quality management (ERCQM) software solutions, has announced the availability of SmartSolve 9.1, the latest and most enhanced version of its integrated process automation platform.
The latest version of SmartSolve contains a diverse set of improvements to help meet users’ operational and compliance requirements. The real power of SmartSolve 9.1, however, is its configurability. SmartSolve 9.1 provides user-friendly configuration tools and best -practice templates built from years of industry experience, providing shortened implementation cycles and rapid return on investment.
SmartSolve 9.1 includes enhanced capabilities in audit management, corrective and preventive action, customer complaints, document and standard operating procedure management, and employee training and certification. The release also includes additional reporting functions. The primary enhancement is a series of improvements to Pilgrim’s SmartStudio business application configuration solution, which reduces the complexity and logic of enhancing, designing, and building new compliance-centric business applications while allowing for enterprise uniqueness.
The SmartSolve 9.1 delivery of SmartStudio is the foundation on which Pilgrim will deliver its expanded Business Intelligence offering, focused on quality analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the SmartStudio foundation enables Pilgrim to offer its customers mobile solutions, allowing users to work wherever they are.
“We recognize that every company’s needs differ based on industry regulations, organizational requirements, or product specifications,” says Atulya Risal, Pilgrim’s chief technology officer. “Users need quick and easy tools to enhance their risk, compliance, and quality applications to meet their end users’ needs. As such, this platform update includes technology that allows our customers to create an unlimited number of risk and compliance-centric applications within a single, centralized platform.”
SmartSolve 9.1 also provides compliance features aimed at simplifying regulatory reporting. Administrators can now merge the Food and Drug Administration Center for Devices and Radiological Health (FDA CDRH) dictionary into the application to expedite the complaints-submissions process. A new HTML-based MedDEV incident reporting form has also been added to the system to support requirements for European Union e-submissions, as well as an adverse drug event decisions tree, a Medwatch form, and the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MeDRA) for pharmaceutical companies.
SmartSolve’s 9.1 user interface enhancements include directional icons and buttons that simplify the document review process within the document management solution. Document collaboration tooling enables collaboration between Microsoft Word and Excel documents as well.
“Pilgrim is always looking to enhance its solution and user experience for its customers, including keeping up with the latest technology,” says Risal. “The new features and enhancements in SmartSolve 9.1 allow SmartSolve customers to expedite their business processes while enabling compliance with industry regulations and manufacturing the highest quality products.”
