Company News: General Dynamics Provides Lean to U.S. Army Medical Command

Company is awarded a three-year contract with MEDCOM.

(General Dynamics Information Technology: Fairfax, VA) -- General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, has been awarded a $9.2 million dollar, three-year contract to support the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and Office of the Surgeon General.

General Dynamics will support the Army MEDCOM lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies program by providing instruction and consulting services to internal organizations for MEDCOM’s director of strategy and innovation.

“General Dynamics is thrilled to provide its lean Six Sigma experience and expertise to the U.S. Army Medical Command,” says Ken Hess, vice president and general manager at General Dynamics Information Technology. “We will lend our organizational capabilities, traditionally used with supply chain management, to MEDCOM for achievement of sustained results and mission success of promoting, sustaining and enhancing soldier health.”
