Event: QMS Internal Auditor Training

Three-day seminar Sept. 22–24 in Houston

(Mireaux Management Solutions: Houston) – Mireaux Management Solutions is offering a quality management system (QMS) internal auditor course for three days, Sept. 22–24, at the Le Mistral Conference Center in Houston. This public training course teaches the fundamental requirements of conducting internal audits in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, ISO 9001—“Quality management systems—Requirements” and ISO 19011—“Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing.”


The course provides a firm understanding of the concepts that lead to effective audits through workshops, case studies, and open discussions. Role-playing audit scenarios help develop a hands-on understanding that will facilitate the implementation of a good audit program. Internal auditing is a mandatory requirement of management systems based on ISO 9001.

Course learning objectives:

• Understand quality management definitions, concepts, and guidelines
• Understand the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard
• Understand the roles and responsibilities of the auditor
• Apply ISO 19011 definitions, concepts, and guidelines
• Recognize the principles, practices, and types of audits
• Conduct all phases of an internal audit (plan, execute, report, record, follow-up, and closure)
• Prepare and present effective reports
• Understand how to evaluate the effectiveness of responses to corrective and preventive actions

 

The course is intended for employees or individuals responsible for conducting, managing, or participating in internal audits, such as quality directors; quality assurance and/or quality control managers; supervisors; engineers; ISO standards coordinators or management representatives; as well as any individual or employee who would like to gain additional training in the ISO 9001 standard and internal audit practices.
