Product News: New Catalog on NDT Inspection Products

Spectronics 32-page catalog on a wide variety of black light and blue light inspection lamps

(Spectronics Corp.: Westbury, NY) — Spectronics Corp. has recently published a 32-page catalog on a wide variety of black light (UV-A) and blue light inspection lamps that detect and identify surface and subsurface flaws. These products are used for nondestructive testing practices such as visual inspection, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle inspection.

The catalog contains information on UV-A inspection lamps such as the OPTIMAX 365 and TRITAN 365, both of which feature ultrahigh-flux LED technology. Also included are super-high-intensity UV HID lamps such as the MAXIMA 3500, BIB-150P and SB-100P Series. The powerful UV-400 Series SuperFlood lamps mount easily for fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, as well as degreasing and wash station inspections.

New this year are the OPTIMAX 450 and TRITAN 450 blue light (450 nm) sources. These high-intensity lamps are ideal for quick pre-inspection or screening of fluorescent particles in operating conditions with ambient light. The OPTIMAX 450 is a lightweight, cordless, rechargeable flashlight with a thin-film dichroic filter lens that improves contrast and fluorescent response. The powerful, yet compact, TRITAN 450 lamp provides wide area coverage and allows easy access into tight areas.

Rounding out the product line are the AccuMAX digital radiometers, which measure UV-A intensity and visible light output with unmatched accuracy. Readers will also be pleased with the expanded listing of replacement parts and accessories.
