On behalf of the entire CMS Executive Committee, I would like to wish everyone an upcoming happy and joyous Holiday season. This is always a busy time of year with extra planning, shopping and travels and one sometimes wonders how everything gets accomplished. I am going to add one more item to your list of considerations: The call for white papers for the upcoming CMSC conference, taking place July 2010, in Reno, Nevada. It may seem a bit early, but we are already in the planning stages and once the New Year rolls around, we will be in full swing. So now is the time to start thinking about submitting a topic for presentation.
This is your opportunity to share with the rest of the Coordinate Metrology Society how you have succeeded at a specific task, applied theory and practice in a non-conventional manner, or were involved in an interesting project. As the CMS continues to grow, presenting at this conference garners respect and recognition from within the industry.
Keep in mind that presenting at the annual conference gives you the chance to have your white paper published in the Journal of the CMSC. This is the official publication of the CMS, with a circulation of 10,000 readers. The papers that are selected and published represent the best of the best. Being published in this professional journal also adds your name to an elite group and puts you in front of the measurement community.
Furthermore, by presenting at the CMSC, you support the efforts of the CMS in furthering the transfer of knowledge throughout the metrology community.
