SPC software comes in nearly as many varieties as Baskin-Robbins ice cream. There are programs that acquire software from measuring instruments, programs that build charts, programs that analyze data and programs that share SPC data across the organization.

Each year in our December issue, Quality Digest lists companies that provide a wide variety of SPC software. This month, we’re providing a list of companies that provide traditional, out-of-the box SPC software (i.e., software that analyzes data and helps the operator interpret the results.) We have deliberately excluded software that merely collects data or shares data across the organization. We have also left out software that only has SPC as one component of a larger software product.
