Message From the Editor in Chief

Welcome to Quality Digest 1996 Electronic Media Planner. It contains all the information you need to plan a successful marketing campaign with Quality Digest highly targeted, managerial-level readership.

As savvy marketers know, reaching the right audience is critical to the success of a marketing campaign. Who are our readers?

73 percent of our readers are mid- and senior-level managers, such as directors of quality, plant managers, vice presidents of quality, presidents, CEOs and quality control managers.

70 percent work in manufacturing.

51 percent work in companies with more than $25 million in sales, while only 7 percent work in companies with less than $1 million in sales.

46 percent have more than 300 employees.

Quality Digest delivers real value for your advertising investment. Why? Because we focus on a highly targeted group of managers who have buying power. We write for\emdash and are read by- the people who have influence over the products and services they will use, the authority to make buying decisions and the ability to approve large expenditures. Our editorial content reflects our commitment to management as well. Instead of technical articles written for people on the shop floor, Quality Digest features articles on topics management wants to know about. Plus, our contributing editors ensure that we keep up-to-date on the latest management trends.

And we're proud to announce several new advancements for our advertisers. First, we have officially applied for our BPA audit and plan to have our first audit completed in 1996. Second, we have recently launched Quality Digest Online, which makes us the first quality publication to have the full text of the magazine on the worldwide web. Third, we're launching "QualityWeb," an Internet directory in the magazine with hypertext links to our advertisers from our web site. Fourth, our new "Software Marketplace" will give our software advertisers an opportunity to showcase their products.

As we look forward to another year of continued growth, we'd ike to thank you, our advertisers, for your continued support. We hope to be your marketing partner in 1996 and beyond.
