Eastman Kodak Co. recently released several new products for nondestructive testing in the industrial radiography market. The company’s new NDT offerings are the KODAK INDUSTREX ACR-2000 and ACR-2000i digital systems, and the KODAK INDUSTREX LS85 Film Digitizer. The ACR-2000’s phosphor imaging plate has 10 times the dynamic range of film, reducing the number of exposures required to thoroughly examine an object. The ACR-2000i adds the advantage of a built-in eraser that clears the phosphor plate after reading so it’s ready for another exposure quickly.
The LS85 Film Digitizer is Kodak’s highest-resolution film digitizer and features a laser beam to illuminate the scanned film. It produces digital signals with accuracies up to 0.001 optical density via its proprietary logarithmic amplifier. The device is self-calibrating, unaffected by ambient light and fits on a tabletop.
Kodak’s Non-Destructive Testing Group designs and produces unique digital and film-based imaging solutions for the NDT industry. Products include KODAK INDUSTREX digital systems, films, chemicals and processing equipment. For more information, visit www.kodak.com/go/ndtproducts.
