The conference will be held Oct. 9–10, 2014, in New Orleans, and will offer attendees two days of idea-sharing and session discussions on topics including technology’s influence on pharmaceutical counterfeiting, and collaborative efforts through communication and system integration. Speakers on this year’s agenda include David Kinrade of Abbvie, Aaron Graham of Boehringer Ingelheim, and Sivakumar Chinniah of Wockhardt USA.
Unique to this event is representation and an exclusive perspective from outside industries related to the pharmaceutical supply chain. Peter Requa of Southwest Airlines will provide insight on how the aeronautical industry can work with extended supply networks, and how pharmaceutical executives can implement best practices into their supply lines to accomplish supply chain goals. Lisa Santana Fox of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will conduct an in-depth discussion on customs regulations for the importation and exportation of controlled substances to ensure a compliant and uninterrupted supply chain. These sessions will offer a fresh look into related components of the pharmaceutical supply chain industry and open the floor to best practices and procedures moving forward.
