(Delcam Inc.: Salt Lake City) -- Delcam has expanded its reseller network for its FeatureCAM family of CADCAM software in the United States by extending its agreements with two of its most experienced resellers—Cad Cam Systems from Rockford, Illinois, and Programming Plus of New Berlin, Wisconsin—to also cover the sale and support of this additional product line.
“The main attraction when we joined Delcam in 2005 was the opportunity to increase our international sales by working with the company’s extensive global reseller network,” says Glenn McMinn, commenting on these latest additions. “Being able to add two such well-established USA resellers as well is a real bonus. I am confident that both companies will be successful with the FeatureCAM products.”
Cad Cam Systems has more than 20 years’ experience in supplying and supporting CADCAM software, mainly in the mould and die industry but also to companies manufacturing aerospace, medical and other engineering components. The focus has always been on providing tailored systems and customized training programs that meet the customer’s needs.
For the past 10 years, the company has also operated a contract machining business. Initially started to help customers that needed extra short-term capacity, over the last four years, the emphasis has been on high-speed, five-axis machining of parts, prototypes, and mould or die components. Of course, all the experienced gained in operating the machining business goes into providing even better support to the software customers.
Programming Plus Inc., usually known as PPI, was founded more than 10 years ago by former programmer and machinist, Tom Bentley. Like Cad Cam Systems, PPI is staffed with people with shop floor experience and puts a big emphasis on providing in-depth training for its customers.
PPI also prides itself on investigating new technology and offering the best of what it finds to its customers. For example, over the last two years, the company has developed novel methods for machining with robots, work that lead to the award of New Partner of the Year by KUKA Robots in 2005.
