Online Shopping and More!

A host of improvements makes Quality Digest better than ever.

This month, Quality Digest launches several exciting new developments, all of which promise to provide our readers with easier access to even more quality information.

We have expanded and redesigned our Web site so that it's easier to use than ever. Our free database of ISO 9000 and QS-9000 registered companies has been expanded to include registered companies outside North America. We have also added an exciting new shopping feature to our Web site. Until now, those in the quality field haven't been able to go to one Web site to buy a broad spectrum of quality-related products and services. Quality Digest is proud to announce a strategic alliance with QSoft Solutions that allows visitors to our Web site to purchase more than 100 quality-related software products and books from a wide variety of suppliers. Plus, we will soon be offering other products.

It's easy to order from our Web site. Just visit www.quality digest.com, click on the "Shop QD" icon located at the top of our home page and follow the instructions on-screen. Your order will be processed the same day we receive it. Plus, all software comes with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. It's your assurance that our products will perform as advertised.

We have also added a new reader service feature called LEADnet that allows Quality Digest readers with access to the World Wide Web to receive free information from our advertisers. Just visit our Web site, click on the LEADnet icon, and you can receive free information as well as visit our advertisers' Web sites.

Our "Daily News" section has returned. Now, you can read quality-related news and information each business day. We're proud to be the only quality magazine keeping our readers informed on quality issues every day.

We have also enhanced the print version of Quality Digest. Our new "Quality Applications" department focuses on the uses of quality-related hardware and software in the real world. For example, this month's Quality Applications examines how Navistar implemented a new defect-tracking software system and how a prime contractor to the European Space Agency and a major hand-tool manufacturer are using coordinate measuring machines to improve accuracy and reduce cycle time.

This month we introduce a new columnist: Stanley A. Marash, CEO of STAT-A-MATRIX. He will be looking forward to quality in the 21st century. Marash's columns will appear several times during the next year, allowing some of our other columnists to take an occasional break.

Let us know how you like these changes and what other changes you'd like us to implement. E-mail me at spaton@qualitydigest.com .
