Cloud offerings will account for just 3 percent of BI revenue by 2013, despite every major BI platform vendor presenting one. In addition, Gartner analysts said that by 2013, BI initiatives will be based on an organizational model that strikes a balance between centralized and decentralized delivery.

Gartner Inc., an information technology (IT) research and advisory company, has highlighted the top 10 technologies and trends that will be strategic for most organizations in 2012. The analysts presented their findings during the Gartner Symposium ITxpo that was held in Orlando, Florida, last week.
