The regional offices of Ellison Technologies in Santa Fe Springs and Berkeley, California, will become authorized distributors of Hexagon Metrology’s dimensional measurement products across California and Nevada. Hexagon Metrology products are used in quality control applications for manufacturing and include programmable coordinate measuring machines, portable articulated arms, and software solutions under brand names Brown & Sharpe, ROMER, PC-DMIS, Sheffield, and more.
“This new partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for our California customer base,” says Graham Hooper, president of Ellison Technologies, Western Region. “Our focus is to provide our customers with the latest technological advances needed to stay competitive. Hexagon’s broad line of superior measurement products reconfirms that commitment.”
“We are extremely pleased to have a distributor of Ellison’s caliber onboard on the West Coast,” said Angus Taylor, president and CEO of Hexagon Metrology “The western United States has long been an important market for Hexagon Metrology products, particularly in the aerospace and medical markets. With the addition of Ellison’s extensive coverage and unrivaled expertise in applying manufacturing solutions to technologically sophisticated applications, we will be able to bring our unique lineup of metrology products to more customers than ever.”
The partnership allows both companies to more effectively serve the increasingly sophisticated requirements of the manufacturing community throughout the western United States, particularly in the aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, wind power, and heavy machinery markets.
The first formal event for both companies was Ellison’s “Technology Days” event on March 16 and 17, at Mori Seiki’s Cypress, California, showroom, where ROMER portable metrology products were on display. Ellison Technologies will also join Hexagon Metrology in booth No. 2601 at Westec 2010, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, March 23–25, as part of Hexagon Metrology’s “Shop Floor Zone” theme.
