Panel Discussion on the Future of Lean Six Sigma

June 20, 2012, in Houston

(MoreSteam: Columbus, OH) -- On Wed., June 20, 2012, MoreSteam.com, a global provider of online lean Six Sigma training and blended learning technology, will sponsor the Houston Lean Six Sigma Professionals (HLSSP) first roundtable discussion event at the Westin Oaks in Houston, Texas from 5:30–7 p.m. An expert panel will discuss “The Future of Lean Six Sigma: Major Trends and Challenges” and include representatives from Robbins Myers, Cardinal Health, Maersk Line, GE, The University of Houston, and MoreSteam.com. The event is open to the first 50 process improvement professionals who register online to attend.

The HLSSP, a volunteer group of process improvement practitioners, has developed this program as an educational and networking opportunity for professionals in the Houston area. Such events are relatively rare in the region, and this represents the HLSSP’s first foray into panel sessions. The HLSSP has assembled a distinguished panel for this evening meeting:
• Ismael Villareal, director of operations at Cardinal Health
• Mona Draper, senior director of process excellence at Maersk Line
• Emily Turner, lean leader at GE
• Jamison Kovach, Ph.D., assistant professor and director of LSS at the University of Houston
• Tim Kelley, MoreSteam.com

Tom Tatevasion, director of operational excellence at Robbins Myers, will lead the discussion and moderate questions from attendees. A reception in the Oak Room at the Westin will follow the event. The cost to attend is $10, payable at the door. All attendees must RSVP online, and the event is limited to the first 50 respondents. Anyone who is a process improvement professional in the Houston area can join the HLSSP LinkedIn group for these and similar announcements.
