Event: Toronto-Area Lean Six Sigma Networking Event

Open only to nonconsultant lean Six Sigma professionals of all levels

(MoreSteam.com: Columbus, OH) -- On Tuesday, April 13, Xerox Canada and MoreSteam.com will co-host a one-day lean Six Sigma program for education and networking.

This free event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (includes breakfast and lunch) at the Xerox Toronto Learning Centre in Markham, Ontario, Canada, and will be followed by an optional afternoon demo of MoreSteam’s SigmaBrew InBox Lean Office simulation.

Learning and networking in Toronto

This free event will provide local process improvement professionals with the opportunity to:

  • Hear expert speakers on critical issues in lean Six Sigma (LSS)
  • Meet and network with peers
  • Share process improvement knowledge and deployment best practices

Speakers will discuss their deployments and answer questions. Attendees will also be able to share their own experiences and ask for seasoned insight to questions. MoreSteam has staged similar events (see the 2009 Nashville event) with customers, and Xerox Canada has kindly volunteered to host this April event.

As no regular lean Six Sigma learning forum currently exists in the Toronto metro area, the formation of an ongoing lean Six Sigma practitioners group, perhaps to convene for regular breakfast meetings, is being considered. This group would be run locally (by volunteers in Toronto) and sponsored by MoreSteam.

What is the afternoon simulation demo?

Following the morning conference, MoreSteam.com will be running a three-hour demo of the SigmaBrew InBox Lean Office classroom simulation. InBox illustrates lean office principles by a hands-on simulation of the virtual workflow of a transactional purchasing process. At least 15 participants are needed to run this demonstration and all participants should bring a laptop enabled for WiFi.

Who can attend this event?

This event is open to nonconsultant lean Six Sigma professionals of all levels. Space is limited to the first 50 attendees, so register as soon as possible to ensure a place at this event. When the event fills, a waiting list will be started. To ensure that this event is focused on the community of business practitioners, the organizers reserve the right to refuse the registration of specific individuals such as consultants and competitors.
