Event: First International Visual Workplace Summit

Donald Dewar, president and founder of QCI International and Quality Digest to receive Lifetime Achievement Award.

(QMI/Visual-Lean Institute: Byron Center, MI) -- The world’s first Visual Workplace Summit will show you what workplace visuality is, why it’s so important, and how the technologies of the visual workplace can help. This summit is presented by QMI/Visual-Lean Institute and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Utah and will be held at the Marriott City Center in Salt Lake City, Oct. 26–28. Also at the summit, a Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Donald Dewar, president and founder of QCI International and Quality Digest.

Ten reasons to attend the Visual Workplace Summit:

1. You want to use the power of workplace visuality to extend and sustain your lean gains
2. Your current approach to 5S doesn’t go far enough—or fast enough. People don’t seem to care. You want to learn what more you can do—or do differently.
3. You want to strengthen or re-align your company’s work culture in support of continuous improvement.
4. You want to learn the dos and don’ts of implementing a visual workplace from companies that have already done it.
5. You want to understand how visual devices build safety, speed, and quality into your machine assets—even for new employees.
6. Time and dollars are precious and you want to make sure conference sessions and presenters represent the highest standard of knowledge, expertise, and practicality.
7. Your workforce needs to go deeper in its pursuit of waste.
8. You want to see visual principles and visual best practices at work—what they are, how they function, and how they contribute to your bottom line.
9. You want to learn from the experts and get inspired by the companies that are actually implementing workplace visuality.
10. You want to know how and why workplace visuality and The Shingo Prize work together on your journey to excellence.
