(NIST: Gaithersburg, MD) -- The 2010 Baldrige Regional Conferences are set for Sept. 14 in Newport Beach, California, at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa; and Sept. 28 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. The conferences will showcase the best practices of 12 or more current and former Baldrige Award recipients.
Each conference will feature an in-depth plenary session with the senior executives of the 2009 Baldrige Award recipients. In addition, more than 18 management sessions will be available to choose from featuring current and former recipients.
The 2010 Baldrige Regional Conferences provide an in-depth opportunity to learn about the best practices and results of the 2009 Baldrige Award recipients and former award recipients.
Senior leaders and other representatives of award-recipient organizations will make presentations and answer questions about the seven categories of the Baldrige criteria. They will also present reports on numerous special topics of interest to today’s managers and senior leaders.
The conferences will feature a combination of plenary and concurrent presentations, as well as open mic sessions where you can share your knowledge and best practices on selected topics. Collectively, these sessions will provide attendees with a dynamic and interactive environment where they can maximize their learning and networking.
Whether an organization is large or small; involved in service or manufacturing, health care, education, or government; housed in one location or multiple sites around the globe, it can benefit from the knowledge and experience of the Baldrige Award recipients.
Who should attend? CEOs; senior managers; education, health care, and government/nonprofit leaders and professionals; directors of staff functions; heads of operating units; and quality/performance improvement practitioners
Conference schedules: Each conference is scheduled for 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with a continental breakfast from 7 a.m.–8 a.m.
Conference proceedings/materials: In its continuing efforts to go green, the conference will send all attendees an e-mail link prior to the conference, giving them access to the presentation visuals and the attendee list. Hard copies of these materials will not be available on site, so please print them out if you want them on hand at the conference. At the conference, attendees will receive a learning journal to take notes in and reflect on what they have learned. A CD containing Baldrige program materials is also available upon request. A limited number of conference bags will also be available if needed, but we encourage you to support our green initiative by reusing a bag from a previous event.
Registration for the conference is now open.
The conferences are co-sponsored by the California Council for Excellence, the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, and the Alliance for Performance Excellence.
