(Paton Professional: Chico, CA) -- If your organization is registered to ISO 9001 or any other management system standard, you’ve got an internal audit process. Are you making the most of it? Is it a value-adding exercise? William A. Stimson’s new book, Internal Quality Auditing, Second Edition (Paton Professional, 2010), will help you make the most of your audit process.
The book has been completely revised and updated for ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9004:2009. Plus the book follows the process approach to auditing that the standards require and that is truly most effective.
Internal Quality Auditing, Second Edition provides an in-depth overview of auditing, with a special focus on auditing skills for ISO 9001:2008. Stimson has put together perhaps the most comprehensive auditing handbook available. This book provides keen insight into what to audit for and how to be an effective and efficient auditor. He also addresses ISO 9004:2009 and how it might (and might not) affect your auditing.
With Stimson’s help you’ll learn to:
• Understand the entire audit process
• Make the most of preaudits
• Utilize different audit techniques
• Have meaningful audit opening and closing meetings
• Write effective audit reports
• Maintain post-audit momentum
