ROMER Absolute Arm Now Up to 23% More Accurate

Features SmartLock technology

(Hexagon: North Kingstown, RI) -- The ROMER Absolute Arm is now up to 23 percent more accurate compared to the previous versions. With point repeatability values from 0.016 mm, the ROMER Absolute Arm is the most accurate portable measuring arm that Hexagon Metrology has ever produced. It is available in seven different lengths, from 1.5 m to 4.5 m.

“Due to design improvements, the new revision enables especially the longer arm types to reach significantly higher accuracies than before,” says Pirmin Bitzi, Hexagon’s product manager for portable measuring arms.

With the new ROMER Absolute Arm, Hexagon Metrology is also introducing SmartLock. This locking mechanism safely locks the arm in its rest position for added security. In addition, users can lock the arm in any intermediate position for measuring in tight spaces.

Hexagon Metrology is also releasing a new specific ROMER Absolute Arm variant for tube inspection applications. These tube inspection arms feature a measurement volume of 2.5 m or 3.0 m, a special gas shock, and a tube measurement stand to make tube and hose measurement as easy as possible.
