(Renishaw: New Mills, UK) -- Renishaw, developer and manufacturer of precision technologies in measurement, motion control, spectroscopy, and precision machining, has purchased the business of R&R Sales LLC, a U.S.-based leader in fixtures for the global measurement and inspection market. The acquisition of R&R supports Renishaw’s increasing focus on metrology system sales, such as those involving the company’s versatile gauge, the Equator, for which R&R Sales provides fixturing devices.

Family-owned R&R has 19 employees and is based in Grand Haven, Michigan. For more than 20 years, the company has supplied the global measurement market with both modular and custom fixtures for coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and vision systems. The R&R Fixture is widely used to hold parts for dimensional inspection in almost every manufacturing field, from automotive, aerospace, and electronics, to medical and household appliances.
