Johnson Controls Completes New Calibration Laboratory

Johnson Controls Metrology Services’ new calibration lab was recently completed and received ISO 17025 accreditation. The 5000 square-foot facility, in Louisville, Kentucky, has dedicated workstations for each of the laboratories’ accredited disciplines, allowing for increased productivity and reduced turnaround time. The dimensional measurement area has a proprietary environmental control system that maintains the ambient temperature at 68° F with a standard deviation of 0.3 degrees. Johnson Controls also recently purchased a new CMM for dimensional layouts and added mass calibrations to its ISO 17025 scope of accreditation.

“We’re extremely pleased with the new facility and the opportunities for expansion that the move opens up for us,” says Rick Cope, laboratory operations manager. “With the larger lab, we now have the room to expand our capabilities to meet the demands of our customers.”
