(InspectionXpert: Raleigh, NC) -- InspectionXpert Corp., developer of integrated software solutions, has released CMMXpert, a new add-on for InspectionXpert for PDF and InspectionXpert OnDemand, the automated ballooning and inspection reporting tools that eliminate manual processing of inspection reports. CMMXpert imports CMM results data from almost any CMM software directly into your InspectionXpert project, eliminating the hand-keying of results data into first-article or in-process inspection reports.

“InspectionXpert’s new CMMXpert add-on is unique in that we can import results from almost any CMM program,” says Jeff Cope, president and chief technology officer of InspectionXpert Corp. “This will save inspectors hours of frustration, eliminating the need to do this manually. This is a natural progression for InspectionXpert toward providing capabilities for managing the inspection process from beginning to end.”

The InspectionXpert for PDF and InspectionXpert OnDemand automated inspection reporting tools provide better accuracy and up to 80-percent time savings. CMMXpert further streamlines quality inspection processes by importing results from CMM routines directly into InspectionXpert for quick and customizable reporting and increased accuracy.

Once CMMXpert merges results data with ballooned characteristics in InspectionXpert, results are color-coded both on the drawing and in the measurement interface to show in tolerance, out of tolerance, or marginal conditions. Users can also control settings to show the color-coded results in their inspection reports.

“Users receive a visual indication, both on the drawing itself and on the measurements, for whether the results are within tolerance,” says Cope. “This will be a critical tool in the inspector’s quality toolbox to ensure that parts are within tolerance and to report on any deviations.”
