Statit Software will host a seminar that examines the use of statistical process control in the health care industry. The two-day seminar, to be held Feb. 7–8 in Corvallis, Oregon, will be facilitated by Marilyn and Robert Hart, authors of Statistical Process Control for Health Care. The seminar will use their book and Statit Express software to demonstrate effective data analysis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own computers and data for analysis.

The seminar will feature discussions about variation, graphing techniques, and hospital and doctor profiling. It will also include demonstrations of process capability and analyses of rare events such as nosocomial infections.
