INUS Technology Revenues Jump 50 Percent in First Half of 2010

Company attributes improvement to the increased popularity of 3-D scanning technologies

(INUS Technology Inc.: Seoul) -- INUS Technology Inc. recently announced that its worldwide revenue for the first half of 2010 beat its internal expectations and represents a more than 50-percent jump from the same period in 2009. The company is on track to generate the highest annual revenue in its 12-year history as its products become more popular as manufacturers, research institutions, and universities invest in 3-D scanning technology for research and development, manufacturing, and quality control.

“We’re very pleased with our sales performance so far this year,” says Calvin Hur, CEO of INUS Technology. “Our partners, including both 3-D scanner manufacturers and value-added resellers, have been quite successful in selling Rapidform along with the full breadth of 3-D scanners out on the market. We’re coming out of a tough business climate, but as we continue to drive innovation and make 3-D scanning more productive for our customers, we’re seeing strong demand for our best-in-class software.”

The company’s line of Rapidform software products works in conjunction with 3-D scanners from every major manufacturer. Its Rapidform XOR software is used to make CAD models from 3-D scan data, while its Rapidform XOS software can create high-quality mesh and surface models from 3-D scans. Rapidform XOV and InspectWorks allow companies to take a 3-D scan of any object and compare it to a CAD design for verification purposes.

“Our growth is being driven by wide market acceptance of our products,” Hur continues. “Our customers and partners know that Rapidform XOR is the fastest path to CAD, and that Rapidform XOV offers intuitive inspection from 3-D scan data. As we continue to pioneer new technologies that let our customers speed product development, reduce costs, and improve quality, we’ll continue to see wider adoption around the world.”
