(InnovMetric Software Inc.: Québec City, Canada) -- InnovMetric Software recently released v. 11.0.16 of PolyWorks software that incorporates three new instrument plug-ins:
• A laser tracker plug-in for the new Leica AT401
• A laser scanner plug-in for the new Steinbichler Probe Scanner
• An articulated arm plug-in for the new Romer Absolute arm
Two of these instruments were commercially released in April. InnovMetric’s prompt response to these recent hardware releases demonstrates its continued commitment to deliver a truly universal 3-D metrology software platform to its customers.
Following a strong growth of PolyWorks users in the Western United States in recent years, InnovMetric Software’s business partner, 3D Infotech, announced the opening of a PolyWorks training facility in Irvine, California. A team of PolyWorks application specialists now provide regional classroom training on various PolyWorks modules throughout the year to new and advanced users.
The 3D Infotech facility will also help to increase the awareness of 3-D metrology in the aerospace industry. “The local community will have direct access to application specialists to analyze the integration of new metrology-based technologies within their manufacturing processes,” says Rohit Khanna, president of 3D Infotech Inc. “Our specialists will demonstrate how the PolyWorks universal software platform can manage various measurement systems at every phase of the product engineering cycle, prevent costly mistakes early in the development cycle, and accelerate time to market.”
